How to Stop the Spread of Germs!
-- Hands pick up all kinds of germs, keeping them clean can help reduce risk of illness for you and yours. The Cleveland Clinic offers these 4 suggestions to effectively wash the hands:
*Rinse hands under running water, and apply soap evenly over both of your hands. The whole process should take at least one minute.
*Rub hands together for 10 to 15 seconds to allow the soap to work.
*Be sure to rub soap on all areas of the hands, including over the backs and between the fingers.*Rinse hands thoroughly and dry them. Avoid touching other surfaces that may be laden with germs.Always wash hands with soap after using the toilet.
According to TV reports, numerous persons have been observed placing their fingers under running water after using the toilet and others don't even do this, they just walk out of the stall back to where they came from. Water without soap accomplishes nothing!Always wash hands after changing a baby's diaper whether it was #1 or #2.
Cover your mouth when sneezing and wash hands immediately if the sneeze ended up in your hands or use a hand sanitizer.Stress a good hand-washing routine to all family members as a sure way to stay healthy and stop the possibility of spreading illnesses. Now that children are once again returning to school is a good time to remind them of the proper way of washing hands and when to wash them. Here are some interesting facts about a sneeze:
*One sneeze propels up to 100,000 bacteria into the air at @200mph(320km/h).
*Sneezing while driving a car means you are driving blind for 100 to 300 feet.*After only 30 seconds' use, a handkerchief contains >15,000 germs.

Sorry I have been MIA for a week. I was at a sorority conference in Tampa and my mind was still there. I hope you had a wonderful week of adventures without me. Below are a few tips to set you on your way. Enjoy!!!!
Jane
Fabulous Citrus Face Mask: This all natural concoction is safe for any skin type once per week. Mix one teaspoon fresly squeezed orange juice with one teaspoon plain yogurt. Leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water. The lactic acid in the yogurt nourishes without stripping natural oils, and the OJ packs a pure dose of wrinkle-fighting vitamin C. Out of fresh OJ? Substitute with orange or mandarin essential oil.
Americans Take Health Care Into Their Own Hands: The Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) recently released the results of a study on the self-medication trends of Americans. According to survey results, Americans are increasingly comfortable managing their own health. The study found that 59% of Americans say they're more likely to treat their own health condition now than they were a year ago. In addition, 96%, an overwhelming majority, say they are generally confident about the healthcare decisions they make for themselves. The survey also revealed that Americans rely more on themselves than on physicians when feeling under the weather. (HerbalGram 52, yr. 2001)

Today is a beautiful day, that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. I hope you had a great weekend, I did. This weekend, while working at my store, I encountered several customers with wonderful spirits. Usually, when I customer comes into my store, I like to engage them about the benefits of using my natural products. Many are amazed, when I tell them that I make the products fresh in my kitchen. I like to let the customers know that when they read the ingredients that are in my products, they are things that you can find in your kitchen our your local natural food store. I do not use any harsh chemicals only ingredients that are cultivated from the earth. Many of my customers suffer from dry or sensitive skin, so I tell them that all my products are great for sensitive skin. If you have allergies, I recommend my products in unscented.
Starting a new business is very time consuming and challenging, but I love it. 2008 is the year for new beginnings. Pick a hobby and turn it into a business. Sometimes, we have to go out on faith and just do it. I did and so can you!!! Live for today, not for tomorrow. Take care, and have a bless week.

Soothe Away the Aches and Pains Bath Salt Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup epsom salt
1 cup sea salt
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup dry milk
Mix all ingredients together and store in a closed container or jar. One of life's simplest pleasures is soaking in a bath filled with relaxing, soothing bath salts. A bath salt soak can soothe away a stiff back, sore feet, and ease away tension. N ot only can bath salts have a multitude of soothing fragrances, they can have medicinal value and healing properties as well.
For example, you might be surprised to learn that adding a little salt to your bath water can actually help improve your circulation. Bath salts, such as the one above, are recommended for people with back pain, arthritis, muscle tension or spasms, and minor work and sports injuries. They're great for easing stiff, sore, muscles and aching feet and legs. Bath salts open the pores to purify the skin, cleansing away dirt, sweat, and toxins. They aid in the healing of dry skin, making skin softer and suppler. Salts also can help improve common irritations such as insect bites, minor rashes, and calluses on feet, as well as more serious skin conditions like athlete's foot, eczema, and psoriasis. Salts made with essential oils offer the added benefit of aromatherapy.
Pleasant, soothing scents have been shown to induce calmness and promote relaxation. Scented bath salts combine these attributes with other healing properties. The ability to relax and unwind at the end of the day is also the best way to ensure sound, restful sleep at night, and bath salts can help with that.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Yesterday, I went to church and the Pastor's sermon was entitled, "Don't Get It Twisted." He talked about how we sometimes get ahead in life driving our BMWs, with our MBAs, and our CEO titles and forget how we got there. It was not because we were smarter than other people, because there are people smarter then you out there, but it is because of GOD. Sometimes, we forget who should be getting the credit for the blessings in our lives. I thank GOD everyday for the air that I breath, the food on my table, the clothes on my back, the roof over my head, and the family that loves me. Take a moment out of your day and thank him, I am sure he will appreciate it. "O my Strength, I watch for you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God. God will go before me. Psalm 59:9-10"
Is it me, or is the time passing by really fast? I remember when I was little, it took forever for my Birthday (July 20th) and Christmas to get here. But now both are just around the corner. If you are like me, I like to do my Christmas shopping early. The time is right to pick up those special gifts for your friends and family and store them away until the time is right.
Next month is Mother's Day and Taylor's Corner Bath and Body Boutique will be running a special on their Mother's Day baskets. Don't worry, I will send out an email blast just in case you forget.
Take care, and God Bless you and your family.

DO YOU KNOW THE SIGNS OF A HEART ATTACK?
*Chest tightness
*Heavy sweating
*Nausea
*Shortness of breath
*Fainting Women may experience pain or tightness lower in the chest than men will or perhaps tightness in the jaw, arm or throat. On 3/28/08 the Today Show recommended that the affected person chew (not swallow) one uncoated adult aspirin immediately, call 911 and not drive themselves to the hospital. The quicker the person arrives at the hospital, the better the chances of survival will be.
